At the top is a newly developed compression driver built around a 76 mm carbon diaphragm — engineered for low distortion across a wide bandwidth and tuned to eliminate horn coloration. Its unusually large diaphragm carries much of the core midrange, including the upper range of voices, guitars, violins, and pianos.

The driver loads into our proprietary Quad Vertex SoundField waveguide for controlled directivity — a smooth off-axis response and stable room interaction that hold tonal balance across a wide listening area, even in untreated rooms.

Low frequencies come from a newly developed 12" carbon-fiber composite woofer with extended linear excursion and a damping core. One large driver, optimized for speed and control rather than brute extension, staying composed from low-level detail to high-output demands.

Signal is split by an assisted first-order network using custom copper-foil capacitors and resin-potted inductors. As in every Ø Audio design, keeping the component count low preserves the integrity of the musical signal — accurate in phase and amplitude, pure through the signal path.

A 10 mm stainless-steel front baffle anchors the design. It sharpens the look, but its real job is rigidity — reducing panel vibration and energy storage, and giving every driver a stable, unmoving platform to work from.

The cabinet tapers toward the rear to cut internal reflections and standing waves. Three mirror-symmetrical bass-reflex ports per speaker let Ymir work with room boundaries during placement, and the rear terminals are fitted with an integrated torque limiter.

Ymir stands on solid stainless-steel outriggers for stability, with height-adjustable, two-stage decoupling feet. A tungsten-ball interface isolates the cabinet from the floor, cutting energy transfer for tighter bass, sharper imaging, and greater clarity.
